The National Dialogue and Referendum Update was created by Near East Consulting in order to monitor the changing attitudes, beliefs, and opinions of Palestinians towards this issue. For a 40-day period, NEC intends to conduct regular short surveys on several issues that are relevant to the national dialogue and the possibly upcoming referendum, including: support or opposition to the Prisoners' agreement, expectations about the National Dialogue, support or opposition to a call for a referendum, trust in main political figures, factional trust, and other issues depending on how the situation develops.

The main aim of NEC through its National Dialogue and Referendum Update is to maximize both public involvement and information about Palestinian public opinion on these issues during this important period of time.
